also, can you really not make usernames with underscores now? unlike @Kai. or @O.D.W , my name links just fine @Merl_ I didn't know I had a "rare" username

Yeah SRC's new username rules made a lot of account "invalid" like under 5 letter, accents, symbols, only underscore username. etc... I'm glad i kept my username :3

@meeps I think character limits are in place because they're annoying to work with when coding. For example, users with 1-letter names can't be searched directly using the search bar. Also, people try to claim these 1-3 letter accounts to sell them off as 'rare' accounts (kinda like in minecraft with their usernames) and I don't think they want any of that to happen.

Also special characters 100% cause a lot of suffering for anything code-based, surprised they allowed them for so long. Also the name @0 specifically has some bugs like being unable to view forum posts they made or message them.
