I wanted to submit a run, but I actually own a version of adventure in some official form, and was curious if it would be allowed for submission? If I actually have the game, I would rather get it on actual console as opposed to Emu.

The sound is a bit different from my understanding, but I don't have a VCS to compare anymore :(

I was given one as a gift. I tried it and, yeah, it just didn't seem right. Might just be a rewrite and not even a proper emulation.

I was looking at picking up one of the newest Atari Flashback Gold for the HDMI out and the Bluetooth joysticks. If I used that, would it count as doing it on hardware and not as an emulator?

Well it's an official re-release. So we'd mark it as a separate console. If it's inaccurately emulated we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I would however advice still using an original controller with the flashback though. I havent tried the most recent flashback so maybe using bluetooth rather than IR fixed it, but the others have all been really bad for input lag and dropped inputs.

Leaderboard Retiming

Starting soon after new years, all runs will be retimed. Many runs from the past have been timed incorrectly leading to a lot of leaderboard inaccuracies, even at the top level.
