10 days ago, on May 9th 2017, there has been the biggest update in the history of Trackmania: Maniaplanet 4 is live, with lots of graphic changes but also changes in game physics. For example, at the start and maybe during the whole track, the cars in all the TM² games have a faster acceleration than before the update. Some bugs have been rectified like landing bugs on Stadium and there has been new blocks and corrections to existing blocks.

All these changes affect loading times, menu navigation and your scores on tracks. But it has been decided to not make a distinction between the old and the new speedruns on TM² games. We might see a lot of IGT records in the following days due to the better game physics. Maybe old RTA times are unreachable with Maniaplanet 4 but we'll keep it like that. For now, the default rankings are still based on In Game Time. In the future, there might be Livesplit scripts for Trackmania games, allowing speedrunners to autosplit after each track and to remove loading times while keeping menu navigation. If so, RTA without loads might become the new default timing method (calculating IGT manually is way too painful!).

Looks like it's already available, as we can see here: https://github.com/NeKzor/ASL-Scripts

Might be interested to make again some speedruns for TMUF, but there's still no script available :(
