I will pay fifty ($50) American dollars to anyone who can reliably recreate this skip on the current patch of the game Mulaka.

Essentially, there's a piece of geometry present in the game's current patch that isn't there in the twitch clip. Collision in this game is....kinda strange (the run is already heavily glitched), so I'm far from convinced this skip has been made impossible. This skip, if found on current patch and proven feasible to do in runs, would save several minutes in the current any% and help justify a new category I want to create.
I won't supply the game itself to anyone, but I strongly suspect it will be included in the upcoming Steam sale (it's a great game casually, too - pick it up!) and this offer will remain open until future notice.
Fwiw, haiiskyee deleted their twitter and can't be whispered on twitch, so.......yeah. And I'm the only active runner of this game at current, so "ask the community" isn't an option. But hey, bounty's open to absolutely anyone.
I'm not sure what you're asking. If it helps I can post a video clip of myself in the OoB area haiiSkyee's clip goes to. It's stupidly easy to go OoB in this game.
Would it be possible to downpatch the game and play on the older patch for the sake of doing that skip?
There's nothing available under Steam betas, so....no? I don't think so? Unless you're talking about doing something else.
Ugh. I'd rather not have to resort to game-file chicanery, but I'll take a look at that when I get home.
I used to run this game too (on ps4). Several of us (including Haiiskyee) tried tirelessly (for many hours between about 3 or 4 of us) to find a way into that well to skip the boss, I honestly don’t recall any of us finding a way to ACTUALLY skip it and get that well to load to the next level, which means...
It fades to black but fails to load the next level, or... Haiiskyee really DID find a way to skip that boss (possibly after I was done running it) but my memory can’t remember if her getting it to actually load was incredibly inconsistent and deemed not safe for a run, in which case this is likely her one and only time succeeding in the skip, hence the clip.
It also so happens that I am still in contact with her, so I will let her know about this thread and hopefully she can offer some insight.
EDIT: she got back to me and said that unfortunately when she performed that skip they later found out that her “game state was messed up.” Take it for what you will but it seems like something was not working correctly (something that would have made any run using the skip illegal) at the time of the recording. That’s all we can really say/contribute to this skip.
Well, I will say that we WERE able to enter the loading well a few times (which was insanely hard to pull off) and it Refused to load the next level, so don’t go crazy trying to crack this one, unless they changed the way the well loads in the current patch it is unlikely to even load into the next level even if you touch it.
Well silly me assuming the clip depicted a skip that actually worked.
