End% timing

How is end% timed?

Chardcore and I have been frame counting the runs and thought we were accurate, but it currently has us both with the same timing with different frame counts.

I'm also not sure where the 4.292 came from; 211 frames is 3.516 (TAS) 257 frames is 4.283 (one frame faster than my latest run) 258 frames is 4.300 (my latest run) 260 frames is 4.333 (chard's latest run)

I'm using the nes framerate of 60.098fps and not 60. If this is not a correct way of timing I will fix the issue

Edit: Both runs by my count were 258 frames when I used Yua to count it, at 60fps it would be 4.3 but using 60.098 as listed from http://tasvideos.org/PlatformFramerates.html it comes to be 4.292

Edit 2: after talking with another mod for NES games I was more than likely conflating the fps rate with the recording fps. I'll def be more mindful of that in future submissions. Both times will be fixed back to 4.3 since char's run after re-timing again still got 258 frames as I noted an early start on her run

OS' run is definitely 2 frames faster.

Chardcore and I have been framecounting each other's runs since we started this meme war :B

We were going from input picking operating mode to the first frame showing the character banner after selecting end. I lined up the audio waveforms during framecount so I'm pretty sure the timing is accurate.

No worries, I think I found why I had a different count. I originally downloaded the vod locally but the ripper i used seemed to have downloaded a 30fps file. Thank you both for being a little patient and understanding. I have fixed the time again.

End% Comparison again.

The mortimer guy's time is a bit faster than cheeseballs. If you need help framecounting stuff, Char or I can help.

Reminder about this, the most important of speedruns on speedrun.com, the coveted End%

Rules might need updating for start/end times, Char and I were timing on selecting the input leading to the password screen and on the appearance of the end credits (faces appear), it looks like Mortimer was timing on selecting the "end" button on the password.

Thanks for the reminder, It totally slipped my mind. I'll retime the submission again and update rules if necessary. It's been a bit and all I have is the frame count in my submission notes. I didn't note from when I began or ended the count so i'll just do it again

Also this guy had incorrect timing rules on his submission for the other End % category in Magic of Sche, so I think he was just unaware of what the timing rules were in general.
