Hi, does anyone know how to play older versions of games on steam? Like for example, playing an older version of Welcome to the Game 2 would be faster for speedrunning because the older version gave more in-game money from hacking. Any guides on that game or others on spedrun.com or google don’t work anymore because of something they changed with the steam launcher it seems. Can anyone clarify the situation with trying to play older faster versions for speed running on steam?

Yes. Here is a tutorial on how to downgrade versions, this tutorial was made for among us, but all the steps are the same. Just substitute "Among Us" for whatever game you would like to revert.

I tried this a couple of weeks ago and it didn't work for two games and it said that the token was expired. So I don't what I am doing wrong or if steam changed something recently.

Steam did have an update recently to try and stop this, but it didn't work. I'm personally still able to use this method to revert, but I'm not 100% whether it's because I reverted before the steam update, or if you are just having a login error.
