when you launch celeste with everest and you load a save file with variant mode on, you're able to randomize which gimmicks of celeste are enabled (such as lava, seekers, effects, etc) and when i found out about this i had an idea.
there could be a speedrunning category where every screen, 10 random variants will turn on and you will have to beat forsaken city as fast as possible with the variants enabled
this is probably a pc only category due to everest only being accessible to computers, but it would serve as a fun challenge for the speedrunning community and a test their ability to complete a chapter regardless of the setbacks.
I think it's unlikely this would be accepted as a category but the proper place to submit it would be the modded categories submission form, it's pinned in the forums on the Modded Celeste page (which you can find by clicking Sub-games on this page)
