Managed to skip entire Leaking Brain fight and sewers in Episode 3, but...

... because you get the Junk Bolt from Headache Tommy in the Leaking Brain fight I was unable to beat the Zorn at the end of Episode 3.

Just wanted to let yall now. If you somehow could skip the last hit on the Zorn, it would be possible to airwalk from the usual first airwalk spot in Episode 3 directly to the minefield/Zorn fight.

Skip setup starts at 1:30 until 13:45, in which I go over how to airwalk to the end of the level in detail.

Especially interesting moments from 0:57 to 2:30, 16:00 to 21:00, and 26:27 until the end

Dont you need the Junk Bolt multiple times later on too in fights/etc? But I have played around with some air walks and have not found anything this big, but it does make a point of there being possible air walk skips still to be found. Awesome find!

Germany

Thank you. I assume you'd get the Junk Bolt automatically once you start Episode 4, but you're possibly right. I'd like to find out though in case someone can find a way to beat the Zorn without Junk Bolt. Actually I might just make a video showing the airwalk later, just to have it documented.

One thing I appreciated was you documented all the stuff you found even if it was the most random stuff ever haha. Worth doing yeah! If there is a way to skip the Junk Bolt use I agree to keep pushing that limit. But I just cannot think of a way to do it, will definitely go play around with this once I figure it out too.

Germany

Hah thanks, that's nice to hear, because finding the useless and absolutely unusable things in Remember Me really is my only superpower :)

I am farming PMP to finish unlocking the Pressens and tried to beat the Zorn without the JB, and I could not. I tried spamming my brains out, I even tried using the DOS S-Pressen a few times. Nothing.

Germany

That's unfortunate, thanks for experimenting though.

I remember a video that showed someone managing to skip a fight later on in Episode 7 by (accidentally) putting a boss enemy out of bounds for a moment, which surprisingly triggered the end of the fight.

It might not be possible, just thinking about potential possibilities here for a second, but if we could somehow manipulate the Zorn in a way that it would jump OoB, maybe the same result would occur. I'll edit in the video once I find it.

Lol hold up. Thats hilarious and also interesting. Okay well when I go through episode 3 again I will start toying around with this. IDK if it will be the same however because he was getting knocked back into the wall from autos. But what im thinking is possibly getting him in a position before one of the arms break so he does the large leap into the ground right be an OoB area. Also, now need to consider where else this could be possibly used o.o

Germany

Yeah, it could be a reach. Looking at it, it's possible that with this method you can only displace enemies into OoB if they're hit by at least one enemy, or possibly multiple enemies at once. But hey, maybe the same principle still applies if there are other ways to get enemies OoB. Who knows, might even trigger on smaller mobs. So it's easy, let's just find out how this works and then make this run Movie% :)

Also what I think would be great for NG+ specifically is when there would be more glitch variety, so I'm still on the lookout for things like this. There definitely is some in an optimized 100% route though.

Movie% cracked me up. So I tested it a bit, and I had the second zorn (the white one in episode...6 or 7?) And I had him literally in a wall , but it did nothing. Even tried using the animation to get him even farther in a wall. Conclusion, you can definitely get them in what appears OoB but it didn't really do anything. It could be possible that it's very specific location they need to hit OoB though. The second ones fight I was in the corner by a box. I sat and just dodged his attacks over and over until I triggered an animation. And then he acted normal.

Germany

It would be cool to see your way of trying to get the Zorn OoB. I played around with his moveset, but never felt that his hitbox (middle of his feet) was truly in a wall.

Here's the setup of the skip mentioned:

Basically I've uploaded a video of me basically going over the details of the skip, while basically showing off some other interesting glitches and things I've newly discovered in the game and Zorn fight specifically + a second solution to the apparent problem with this skip. That are like just the basics of the video. Basically.

It was mostly his animation that was in the wall and some of his foot. But it was basically the same thing you did but I chose a corner so there was more things to clip into than just a flat wall. But finding a way to get ourselves out of bounds is an interesting idea. Doing it without console stuff or whatever you did (not sure still xD ) is the main goal now then. I guess also playing around with trying to get him out of it too is the other goal.

Is there a way to make it consistantly skip the Zorn mini cut scenes during the fight or was it random that it happened for you?

Is it worth skipping straight to the leaking brain instead of stopping where we do now in the air walk is another question I am wondering? This i guess is only worth considering if a Zorn skip isnt found though.

Again amazing work and also a great video to watch while i sat down to eat :D thank you

Thank you! What I did in the Zorn fight is possible by putting these bindings in your BaseInput.ini in steamapps\common\Remember Me\Engine\Config. Under "General Bindings" add:

Bindings=(Name="Add",Command="Ghost",Desc="") Bindings=(Name="Subtract",Command="Walk",Desc="")

With this, when you press + or - on your numpad, you can clip through environment and fly essentially. All triggers are still active with this, which is nice.

And I don't know about the cutscene skips, I was really surprised that it happened in the video, because I tried a lot and had trouble replicating it at all. The Zorn still does the animation from the cutscenes, but you're still free to interact and run around when they would play, but because the Zorn's hitboxes are inactive, it saves no time. For now it's pretty random, but it's fun at least :P

Do you mean stopping the Airwalk at the fire instead of grabbing health and going through the turbine? Turbine is still faster by a lot, just because there aren't a lot of good ways to quickly lose height consistently that are known right now. Oh and in case you mean the actual Leaking Brain: The important parts, enemies and Tommy Headache are all unloaded when you airwalk there unfortunately. They only load in the cutscene that plays when you climb and jump down from that railing above and you're unable to interact with it during an airwalk.

Tested second zorn again, manage to find a couple interesting things. I got him to not go into his jump attack animation when I broke an arm due to him being in an animation of throwing a box, but then also not being able to find me visually. Sadly before I tested if you could even damage his arm, he saw me and jumped. I got him as far into a corner as I could but still nothing in terms of making a skip for getting him out of bounds. I did punch an enforcer through a wall though. This is just more confirmation that this is something we need to look into!

Here is a short clip from my run showing it:

Really honorable. Nilin bringing some new customers in to improve the economy. Nice find!

So I tried recreating this, and I could not do it just trying to hit them into the object that they go through to hit the OoB mark. And in the original it looked like he got hit by one of his own allies that knocked him OoB. So still not sure how to get this consistent xD though in my video instead of the guy doing the normal animation of getting hit, he just slides into the wall. Only special thing I noted. When that other video, it really seems like he got hit by his ally, so lets say he did, he could have slid into it bc he got hit against that sign? Not sure if this is the key to it but its all I got sorry

Germany

It seems to me almost like there's 1 frame or 2 where that one enemy you got oob actually doesn't have clipping enabled. Using cheats, I can confirm that you can walk through both enemies before the fight begins. So while they're this way, their bodies don't get blocked by the environment, so to speak.

I tried it and get it 50% of the time, it might heavily depend on how fast your first attack animation is. It's definitely a fun timesaver when you get it, but I think it's a little random right now :P

But this doesnt answer at all how that mini boss got hit OoB still D:

Germany

True, I thought about that one as well and I think it's a different thing. This is a really big assumption, but I believe the collision detection is bugged when an enemy attacks another ally. It's bugged in a way that when a second ally attacks the ally that's being attacked, they can actually push that ally out of bounds.

That, or maybe it was a really specific angle? Needs more testing to say for sure, I have tried a bit but couldn't replicate it yet, mainly because the movement of those leapers with the white helmet seems completely random and sometimes they just don't want to do what you want them to do :P

Manitoba, Canada

I messed around with the glitch for a while as well but couldn't manage to get past the Zorn fight. One theory I had was to try and enter the sewers before the fight, thereby skipping the fight entirely. I don't know if the trigger is even there from the start but I tried lowering myself to get just under the ground layer but didn't manage to do it without getting stuck in other places. Since I don't have mods I can't check to see if it's theoretically possible. Anyone know?
