20 games is the lowest you can put it at. Would be nice if you could put and save it to 5 per page.

From what I know of web design, I think part of the problem might be it's loading images for 20 different games, which can eat up time. Perhaps an option to show titles only, leaving game cover images out of the list, might help with that.

The text/list view exists in the top right of the page with the icons.  I think it also keeps track of your preference.

A series with one game takes as long as a series with over 100. It's not the count that's the problem, it's the site's fault. I've been wanting this fixed for a long time myself.

Indeed. It's going to be a database communication problem, not a problem with the number of shown items.

If anything it's probably doing the calculations to figure out the order of games every time the page is loaded. If that's the case, the calculations should really be done once an hour and written to a file, then the page reads from that file instead.
