Bow Before Me (Or Don't, I'm Only A Silly Dolfyn

Hi, I'm CosmykTheDolfyn. I speedrun random crap. Been doing it for about two years. Right now that includes: Hot Wheels Turbo Racing (any% N64, which I routed myself) Trackmania Wii (puzzle and platform modes single segment) Mario Tennis (It's a joke run, k?) Shadow Dancer: Secret of Shinobi Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine/Kirby's Avalanche (same game, different skins. Hardest difficulty, gunning for sub 10 minutes, PB sits right at 11 minutes and consistently under 20 minutes) Kirby's Dream Land

Learning: Donkey Kong 1994 (Game Boy Game) Want to learn Wild Arms, was routing out the GBC port of Daikatana, but I burnt myself out on it.

I stick to older stuff mostly. I try to have fun with it all. I have to rely heavily on muscle memory as I play, as I was in accident as a child that me without feeling in portions of my right hand (including my thumb and first finger). This makes it very hard to play controllers I'm not familiar with (thus re-enforcing the sticking with old games).

Welcome.

I own a Sega Mega Drive so I'm trying to learn some old games as well. Thinking of doing Sonic 1 actually.

Seems like you're pretty decent at games. I hope you contribute a lot of interesting runs whilst you're here.

Thanks. I hope to contribute also. I've taken the liberty of submitting Hot Wheels Turbo Racing and Trackmania: Build To Race (Wii), so hopefully those runs will be on the site soon. As far as I know, I have world record in both. I did have some competition in Hot Wheels, but none for single segment runs of Trackmania stuff. I have youtube links for both, and will be running Hot Wheels in Speed Gaming for Sick Kids, along with Shadow Dancer and Mean Bean Machine. I got a 15:40 in Shadow Dancer today but not on video, so I plan on trying to get that time down a few more seconds while recording then submitting it here. The biggest issue is the final boss consistently, (since he spawns enemies at you while attacking and you die in a single hit), but I get him first try 70% of the time now. Should get a good run recorded no problem there. I'm just doing mode 1 for now.

There's not enough Genesis/Mega Drive people, that's for sure. I didn't have a SNES growing up, I had a Genesis. So that's what I like to work on. My first Nintendo console was the N64.

I almost bought Shadow Dancer last year but I lost the auction. I have to other two Shinobi games though. Revenge of Shinobi is my favourite of the two. I'm nowhere near good enough to speed run them.

You're totally right. One of the Sega games I played earlier which would actually make for an awesome speed run isn't even listed on here or Speeddemosarchive. It has been tased though. It's Taz: Escape from Mars and it's a really good game. I wish someone would run it already. Not me, far too difficult a game.

I think I will stick to Resident Evil and Sonic for now.
