Hello everybody! My name is LobsterZelda, and I am currently working on a full-game TAS of Star Fox Adventures, which starts from a clean memory card.

I am creating this thread to request that someone who has a save-file already created near the end of the game can test out a routing idea I had.

Based on findings from Dark X-Rane, it appears that you can cause certain maps adjacent to ThornTail Hollow to not load properly by swimming out of bounds (similar to the memory leak glitch). However, maps which are further away like Cape Claw don't appear to be affected.

The current fastest known route would visit Cape Claw at the end of the game to deposit spellstones 2 and 4. Then, it would be forced to walk back to ThornTail Hollow to fly to the walled city (since doing ESW here would erase the flag that says you placed spellstone 4). I believe this forces you to watch the lightfoot village cutscene where fox gets tied up, which is like 3-4 minutes long.

I was wondering if you could do the de-loading glitch, go to cape claw to place the spell stones, and then walk back through lightfoot village without triggering the cutscene to start?

Also, the old TAS for this game seems to be able to skip this cutscene, since it only activates when they try to enter lightfoot village, and even then, it skips the first half of the cutscene (see 2:18:25 in this video to see what I mean: ). Based on this, it might already be possible to skip this cutscene by just not trying to enter lightfoot village on the way back, but I don't really know that for sure.

Btw, there's no rush to find this. I've only TASed up to when fox starts fighting the 4 sharpclaws outside the queen's house when he first gets the staff, so I have like 2.5 hours-worth of gameplay to TAS before this question even becomes relevant :)
