Is this guy's runs legit?

His stuff aren't labeled speedrun's so I figured this was slightly off topic. But I've been seeing this guys stuff recommended to me for a while now. And there are just so many things about his that seem tool assisted to me. He takes so many unnecessary risks that just boggles the mind. He doesn't label his stuff as tool assisted at all.

So I want you guy's opinion. Is his stuff real or just tas? Mainly talking about his main line X videos. Starting with this one.

You will have to ask the community of the Mega Man X6 game, where people actually know the game. No one here in the general community has enough knowledge about the game to know if the playthrough is legit or not.

Also, it looks like this MaverickHunter is doing challenge playthroughs of games in the channel. It's not like they submit fake speedruns here on the site, and pass them off as legit runs.

Also also, have you considered the option that some people are just very good in video games? that is the gist of speedrunning too. Unless you have proof that the playthrough is not legit, you shouldn't just throw accusations. You can also try to ask the player directly about the playthrough.

no, lol. this guy has been uploading fake stuff for years. he never submits any of his 'runs' so in the end it's w/e but its still pretty funny.

None of his "runs" are actual speedruns, so of course he won't submit them here.

except he calls them most of them speedruns in his video descriptions. not sure why you felt the need to bring up that technicality anyway, seems pretty petty.

@ Oreo321 Woah sorry If I've offended. But try to understand my perspective. I often see speedrunners as expert in allot of games. I assumed there'd be some Megaman X pros on here. I apologize if I made the wrong assumption. I will find some other forum and ask them.

Ive been wanting to ask some pros about this for months so I finally took the time to make an account to ask. How else was I supposed to get in contact? There's a very good reason I posted this in the off topic section? So Pointing out that these aren't speedruns is kinda pointless? Also you say Im throwing out accusations and never considered hes just good at video games? Please reread my initial post. Why do you think Im asking the opinion of the people on this board? If I was 100% sure, I wouldn't be here? That's the whole damn point of me asking this. Anyway. Sorry for offending you friend.

@Nu Ah. So people are aware of this guys existence huh. And yeah he doesn't submit them , but it doesn't make him not labeling them properly any less "strange" Thanks for your take on it.

Okay, to make some things clear:

  • I have no idea who MaverickHunter is, I never watched his playthroughs and I don't care
  • @Nu, a moderator of some MegaMan games, says Maverick is a known cheater - so I'm inclined to believe that. I have zero info about it, and as I said, I definitely don't have knowledge about MegaMan games to decide for myself.
  • Now I'M sorry about maybe offending you ( @dablueagumon ). I read the initial post, but over the past 2 years I have seen a lot of new accounts signing up to the site, and the first (and only) thing they do is report "cheated" runs in the general forums, often without any real explanation.

My main point still stands: if you want to ask game specific questions, or report cheated speedruns - then do this on the game forums, or contact the game community/moderators.

Good day everyone.

@dablueagumon Well, now that you're here, you might as well start speedrunning games yourself! Then you won't be one of the "makes one thread about cheater and leaves" guys.

Sure. Could be fun. Probably something simpler to start. Ill give it some thought.
