I was casually speed running SMO and I found a metro chest clip. Was not sure if it had been found.
If you mean the clip in City Hall, that's actually where Moon Clips were discovered.
Yeah, GoomEevee is true if you mean "the useless glitch" which was founded with the chest of inside the central town to pass to the other side of the bottom wall
No, you go around to the back of the chest and somehow clip through it, it might be useful when all moons gets super optimized, the chest in seaside could be saved for like 1 second. You kind of go around the back of the chest, use your cap to hit it open, and clip through it.
I know what you're talking about, its been known for awhile that you can do this. It doesn't have any chance to save time simply because moons arent collectible for a second or two anyway, so you are just trying to get them open as soon as you can.

wait, i have a question, do you know how you can do a snow dram where at the end theres a dive vault. is that essentially random, or could it be controlled to save like 1 or 2 seconds. if not, people could at least grind a setupless version that gets that for btt.
no, theres a way to make it so when you reach the painting platform, you do a dive vault immediatlty upon landing by having the perfect pixel between the platform and cappy
Are you saying that when you do the last cap throw for snow dram, if you do it perfectly, cappy can be over the platform, and you can do a pixel perfect dive vault to land on the chest and open it with a spin pound? If so, I dont think that would save any time, and if it did, it would be so little that it probably isnt worth trying.
