Short Trip!

Hey guys, this post is here hopefully that the admins of the page can make some changes.. I've just started speed running and it happens the game I chose no one plays anymore. I post my run I've waited 24+ hrs to get it verified... Now this sort of makes sense being the run is over an hour long.. However there are runs that have been submitted today and already verified... In most cases the runner is also a mod.. Yup you can apply to be a mod on the forums but considering how active the website is, it's doesn't make sense for an admin not to see a new " Apply for game mod " response on the forums.. This strongly pushes new runners like myself away.. I don't have a whole lot of time to just sit around. Maybe in the future if people aren't actively modding or posting for a game they should just be removed and an alternate way of applying to be a mod should be added instead of posting on some Forum that people don't read unless it actually has something to do with them. Sorry if I seem a bit hot headed or just simply impatient.

Take care everyone -- If there is a way to delete the run I have submitted that isn't yet verified, someone please let me know.

Have a good one every buddy! Good luck on your runs.

People have lives outside of this website, so you cant expect it to be verified on the spot

I don't expect runs to be verified on the spot... But with how active the community is there should be like a monthly or twice-annually comb through of the games to see who is still running them and actively modding them so that these sort of things don't happen. Especially when there are some games that get verified within a few hours or minutes depending on the length of the run.

Considering I already explained to you that mods aren't inactive until it reaches the 3 week mark (https://www.speedrun.com/Speedrunning/thread/ic5ei), you're either trolling, didn't believe me, or didn't care. Considering I also seem to recall that you had replied to my comment and have since deleted it, I'm going to go with you're trolling.

Not trolling at all, since I made a post on the forums, I've searched the Speedrun discord, and the discords of games that both mods run, neither of which were in any of those.. So I went into discord to get a response of " make a post on the forums " which I did, 10+ hours before hand and yet no response... Again with such an active community I don't get how at least 1 mod didn't see the post.

But clearly making a post about how things could be changed to fix issues like this was also a bad idea.

The full mods comb through the Moderation request page atleast once a day, so you just need to be patient
