@dha Popularity is irrelevant when considering adding a game to the site (at least after the point of "more than 5 people have played this game ever").
This Kongregate Flash Game has been approved 1 week ago. It's 1 minute long and it has one run submitted. Not even the game image or a background. Can you please explain why this game is in any way better than p.i.g ?
I would think you don't have very consistent criteria for approving games.
Ok I give up, no more kongregate games submitted by me, but if I see another unpopular web flash game of the lenght of 1-3 minutes with no runs in the internet being approved, the question will be re-opened and p.i.g must be approved.
@Seydie I said I give up, you don't have to reply that it doesn't work like that. Do you know how it works? are you a mod that approves games? What if I alredy have my own google docs leaderboard but I want the game to be in this site too? Am I free to express my opinion in this forum? Am I insulting anyone or using bad language? What situation are you talking about that can be helped? Did you get the joke? Can u imagine my face laughing every time I write those posts and reading the answers?
So in the end, I just wanted to submit a flash game that I think is good to speedrun and in which I have a good time on (Curently 2° place), as I always did, but mods rejected it saying "We don't accept flash games anymore". Talking to the forum, I understood that the rule doesn't really apply to any flash game but only for flash games that are short, no matter about the popularity of the game. I also understood that there are random exceptions to that rule, depending on how the mods feels like, and even super short flash games that have no runs can be accepted still.
What I'm trying to say is that mods should adopt equal rules for every game that are submitted to the leaderboard, accept everything or reject everything that is under certain conditions (Game Content, Popularity, Game Lenght, Game Type) and make those rules clear when submitting a game. This is my personal opinion and I think it would make the site more professional and consistent.
People here gets angry and think that I'm wasting my life for a stupid flash game. It's not just one flash game, it's about every other game I could submit to this site, not really important but if I'm doing this it's because I care about this site and I'm putting my effort to make it better.

That would be weird to have people look in multiple places to find all of your PBs. It doesn't make sense for me to maintain my list of PBs in multiple places, either. Using Google Sheets for leaderboards feels so 2014 and archaic at this point--so does PBTracker (I'm surprised that thing's still around). I thought the idea of this website was to get rid of all of the separate leaderboards? If not, then why have a centralized place to track speedrun times if it's not available for every game to use?
Also I really like that short flash games are not accepted when short games of intentional flash-game quality like Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning are allowed. I guess I don't understand why the quality of the games on this site should have any reflection on the site staff and speedrunning as a whole when it's the individual communities that initiate and maintain that content. It's nonsensical to me.
If I went hunting for short flash games to run, I would have to maintain a list of those games and those times in a separate place as well as maintain my times on these boards. I would then have to tell my viewers to either go to two places to see all of my times or duplicate a list of all of my leaderboard times to put them all in one place--and I have A LOT of times to track. Do you see how much sense that makes?
Full disclosure, I have seriously considered attempting a speedrun of a visual novel (Little Busters!) that beats the ultimate boss of the fighting game mode (Mask the Saito) as soon as possible, but based on current site policy, I would have to track that separately from these boards. Again, how much sense does that make?
I'm done of this thread and all this nonsense.
It's case by case, and the site is not obligated to accept anything just because someone REALLY wants them to.
I hope you find a game that works, and that this all just blows over and we can forget it.

It's a legitimate point, and it doesn't just apply to flash games, but officially licensed ones as well. I've never even submitted a flash game (or any other self-release sort of thing, but I have game rejections). But these legitimate points get brought up like every week by someone new, and the result will be more or less the same... nothing gonna change, just same three talking points and some chastisement. I would just recommend submitting non-Web games and or playing games alright listed on the site; otherwise just sort of be prepared there's a decent chance it won't be accepted, and if it isn't, that's just going to be the case for the time being.
