So lately, I've been getting in to speedrunning this game, but one issue is really making it hard. My game will just freeze or stop responding at the most random times. Sometimes, it'll happen at the beginning of missions, or when it's on a black screen. I've tried setting the priority to above normal, setting affinity to 1 core, etc. Nothing seems to have fixed it. The version I'm using was originally the retail version downgraded to 1.0 and I've been using a 1.0 no CD exe, because I'd prefer to not have to have the disc in every time. The only mod I have is Ginput, so I can use my PS3 controller. Is there anything else I'm not doing or not doing right? Thanks.
@GReeN96, that's not true at all. I use Win10 and run this game without admin rights and have never had that issue
I tried reinstalling the game and that didn't work either. I forgot to say, but I'm on Win7 64bit. I think the issue might've resolved itself, will have to see though.
Sorry to reply to this after 4 months but are you still having those issues with the game? My game freezes like that, exactly how you describe it, every 30 minutes or so. Finishing a run seems impossible.
The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.
As of this news post, the San Andreas leaderboard will function in
