Need more pronouns added please.

Quote: "If you're going to speak english and have people talk to you in english things are going to need to follow the rules of the language. Identity is not a word, it is a concept. When someone says "we" in english that means including the speaker. If you want to talk about a group of multiple people without including the speaker a more appropriate term is "they" or "you" or something. The word itself doesn't mean anything in regards to identify, its just how we communicate it, and communicating it with "we" is incorrect."

And just how do you know YOU are not apart of us? You assume but yet you do not know. All are us and we are them.

I guess I need to add more of an explanation of my thinking with adding We/Us pronouns.

How long would YOU survive if you were the only human left on the planet? My guess is not very long. Every human on this planet needs every other human on this planet in order to survive. Without those other humans food wouldn't make it to the stores. People are to selfish in their thinking we decided to start thinking with every other human being on this planet as far as identity goes. Because we acknowledge that we need every other human on this planet.

This is why we are asking for We/Us to be added.

That's not how this works.

We disagree.
I would understand We/Us as a pronoun if someone has multiple personalities consisting of he/him, she/her, or they/them.
The thing is "We" and "Us" are wrong because they're not meant for referring exclusively to people that are not yourself. It's as if I made my pronouns "I/Me" and you now had to refer to myself as a "Me". It just wouldn't make any sense.

Also @RetroPacman no offense but I did not understand any of what you said in your last few posts
Also identity doesn't need to conform to the rules of grammar. It has everything to do with emotion and nothing to do with logic. This is why we are asking for the addition.
Let's say I want to tell someone that @RetroPacman likes cookies. They use "we/us" pronouns, so I say, "We like cookies." This implies that I also like cookies, which may not be the case and isn't what I was trying to say. Don't you see how making someone use "we/us" pronouns causes problems with basic communication?
And just how do you know YOU are not apart of us? You assume but yet you do not know. All are us and we are them.
Are you trying to say that I'm a part of you? Because I'm not. I'm me. I live in another part of the world, I'm my own person and don't even know who you are.

To add on to what Merl said, things like "He/Him" and "She/Her" work because they are in the third person. "I/Me" and "We/Us" cannot work because they are in the first person

Of course you and everyone else on this planet is a part of us. Maybe it is hard for some of us to understand that there is no survival of the human species without all of us working together. We don't farm food by ourselves. We don't stock the shelves by ourselves. We don't drive the trucks that bring the food to the store by ourselves. Others of us do those things so that we can eat and survive. Part of us may be in different parts of the world or even in space. But they are still part of us and working together for the betterment of all of us. How is this even hard to understand?

my brain fucking exploded and blood splattered all across my room. if i said to someone that "we just got a wr in ocarina of time" if that someone didnt already know who had just gotten the wr would think that I got the wr with someone else which makes no sense because oot is a singleplayer game and it only causes confusion.

this is the dumbest thing ive seen in these forums in the short 4 years ive been reading them. i in the first place dont understand pronouns since in my native language Finnish we dont have gender specific terms like that, we have "hän" which is gender neutral.

and if you with the pronouns we/us got a world record does that mean i also got a world record since apparently im a part of you?

edit: sorry if that sounded a bit aggressive im just super confused right now

Hello, we are currently 15 years old and we want to become a walrus. We know there's a million people out there just like us, but we promise you we're different. On December 14th, we're moving to Antarctica; home of the greatest walri. We've already cut off our arms, and now slide on our stomachs everywhere we go as training. We may not be a walrus yet, but I promise you if you give us a chance and the support we need, we will become the greatest walrus ever. Thank you all.

It is OK, if we as a race of humans fail to understand everything. But the world would be a better place if all of us were on the same wave length instead of killing each other and fighting over who has the bigger pp. We forgive them for not understanding.
