I don't see how anybody can defend this decision to add ads. First they decide to stop taking donations and let everyone use previously "premium" features for free, then they change the look of the site and make it arguably worse, just to have place for articles that show up even in runner profile for some reason. And now that reason is clear - they just wanted to hijack that space for ads, because they don't have enough money to run the site, cool. And zero communication on top of that, posting "yo we gonna have ads from now on" on the day they roll out ads is NOT communicating.
@Oreo321, maybe. There are a lot of people i didn't block, only 3 out of all people who wrote here. it's quite simple, if you are fine with changes - say you are fine, don't mind me :D Also before blocking i do warn to not try advising same things over and over again, which were actually addressed in the 1st post. Saying my behaviour is childish is interesting way of interpratating rage i have against changes that were implemented without any reason.
Making suggestions sr.com needs money to run web is obvious but could be discussed and brought to community instead of making people GUESS Devs are in need or even debt. Not that hard to keep in touch, not that hard.

It. is. not. mandatory. sure, these are annoying and i want to get rid off them too but, i can browse the site still. sure it covers like 10% of the screen, but like, this is the website now, and we must deal with this
I like your idea of ways to better resolve the situation, its just we dont appreciate how "aggressive" you are being towards some people, Garsh is just trying to calm this argument down.

Thing is, nobody can help you. There are exactly 3 things you can do right now.
- get adblock, which you won't do
- deal with the ads and wait for elo to fix this, which you won't do
- leave the site and don't worry about it, which you won't do
So what do you want?

The best option is to use adblock - I installed it yesterday and all the popup ads are gone. Leaving the site is a little extreme, so options 1 or 2 are the best choice.
@Merl_, i wan't you to stop suggesting dumb nonsence you try to suggest me, okay? I am actually waiting for 24h mark for my feedback, i feel like i won't get any email, so i am going to create new topic witht his too i guess :D Also poor phrasing "nobody". Is it THAT hard to understand that simple users can't help me by trying to stop me. You can help me by posting how bad it is towards a community, towards a whole web to make whatever they, Devs, want to do without proper preparation. And sending proper feedback through new form they have added. Or you can wait until mods simply CLEAN this mess, it is mess because you and some other users don't get what happens to sr.com or don't want to accept that this way of growing and maintaining this web is a WRONG way to do so. If you agree with what happens, remove your addblock, support Devs.
