Why aren't we using the ingame time that is shown at the end oft the Run? It's ridiculous enough that a Screenshot of this time was enough for Gesomaru to get verified on the Leaderboard.
So I guess everyone can do this to get the minimum amount of load times added to his time and save a few seconds, right?
Jokes aside. I don't see why we are not using the ingame timer. It would be the easiest way for everyone.
IGT can be manipulated with glitches and is generally less accurate then RTA from what i can tell
I didn't know if it was IGT or RTA that was the defining time for the run I submitted today; it wasn't listed in the rules anywhere. Now that I know that, though, I'll have to check the other run I did during stream for RTA, and keep that in mind when running the game again. I just feel like this should be included in the Rules for this game, shouldn't it?
If you are right, Jb, you should reject Gesomaru Time from the Leaderboard. The Story itself is crazy but that Xana verified it is more crazy. Video proof should be required. And if you have a video you can also check if the IGT is right.
Hello from the mod team! We've been considering this for a while, but now it's official: Journey mode speedruns will now be timed with In Game Time (IGT)!
Additionally, if you’re running on PC, we have created a LiveSplit autosplitter. This was made specifically to record IGT, and can be used
