This might be unique question. With the new Disney Afternoon Collection coming out today. Will the games still be counted under the original games on the site like if i run ducktales from the Disney collection will I be still allow to post my time under ducktales or do I have to put it under the Disney afternoon collection

More than likely, the games will just get another platform or two added to them to show that it's done on a console with the collection instead of on the original game.

As for how those will be handled on the LBs, that's up to the mods of the games to decide. For what it's worth, if these games are anything like the NES Classic remasters, then they will run slower than the original games and will just be kept on the same, already existing LBs with a new platform.

If you're curious for more information than that, I'd recommend talking to the mods of the game to see how they want to handle it.

Thanks cause I always been curious of the how collections would be taken in speedruning

Yeah it's really a game by game basis.

For example, the aforementioned NES Classic - it runs slower than a real NES so it was handled by adding NES Classic as a platform for the games present on it, then when submitting a run for the game, that platform was chosen instead of a regular NES.

For a game Im a part of, the Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Collection for PS4 (a collection of games original released on the PS3), it was kept under the same game as the PS3 versions but had the consoles split via tabs on the LBs due to loading times being upwards of an hour faster in some cases on the PS4 so we didn't want to compare the two platforms on the same LB.

There is no "right way" to do, it's mostly just whatever the moderators and community members decide is the approach they like best or that works best for them.
