I haven't watched it yet but I think it's fantastic that you did this! Did you cover the more advanced movement stuff? I'm sure it's great either way and hopefully it turns a few people on who may be on the fence with giving this game a shot.

Wouldn't it be interesting if there was an upset though? He could easily lose due to RNG

I can't agree with that Orophene. Banning the only interesting speedtech in a game doesn't make any sense in a race, especially since one of the reasons Shunpuk stated is to get people running the game. If they don't want to run the fastest version that's their choice. It is unforunate that the PC version is a buggy mess that can be awkward to get running but we can help folk get it installed.

I say we bully the masses into Normal/Normal and just do regular rules, no handicaps, no shenanigans

Yeah, let's just keep it simple and keep the rules to what a normal any% run would be. No need to over complicate things.

@FurryWulfz if you want to use emulator be sure to try "Enable fast CDVD" function to decrease loading times (works for me at least).

Also there is an emulation error on triggering some FMV cutscenes which can result in 20-30 seconds lockdown of the game (Angela at cemetery and meeting Maria at hospital basement in particular). Since there are game engine cutscenes after every FMV cutscene I don't see any problem with using "Skip MPEG hack" function to skip FMVs. You will still be required to press Skip button each time due to game engine cutscenes.

I advice on using SLUS 20228GH / SLPM 65098 versions. Seem to output better performance. Disabling noise effect also results in a mild speedup.
