do i stream on twitch and say what my time was can anyone help and how to i create a new category for a game i am confused

Doing a speedrun comes with a burden of having proof with what you said. So a recording uploaded to YouTube suffices, but most people stream to twitch. Submit the recording to your submission to the leader boards and voila. You submitted a speedrun time!

If you want a new category added, I would recommend contacting the board moderators or go into said games discord server (big chance there is 1) and request it there. You can't just add a category, without being a mod yourself.

thing is i do not have a phone number so it wont let me contact the mod to add a new game to speedrun.com

You don’t contact mods via phone numbers, you contact them via any of their social media links on their profile or via the site’s built in direct messaging system.

I believe your account needs to be a week old to use the messaging system. You could try posting a category request in the game’s specific forum. Mods will often want you to have a completed run when you do this.
