LiveSplit help for a Newbie

Hey, first of all: I'm absolutely new to speedrunning, just "started" last week. Never timed it before, just tried to practice things, and now I downloaded LiveSplit, but just stumbled about some problems: 1.) I did everything as shown in FC's guide video (and put the autosplitter fix in the components folder) and downloaded the empty split and activated loadless. Unfortunately the livesplit wants me to update the autosplitter fix, if i do it, the fix is gone, if i don't i can't do anything anymore 2.) autostart and loadless don't seem to work, atleast they are not doing what they should do for me 3.) if i play a bit and get some times in and then save my splits or quit and save them, the times are gone again when i open my splits Sorry to bother you, I'm probably the 100th guy that has had this problems, but I would really appreciate any help :D

Probably I'm just dumb and overlooking something, but I don't know what to do. And by the way: is there something really important not mentioned in any guide that a new guy might need to know?

You need to just activate the load remover from the edit splits menu, you're way overcomplicating it. Also for 3 that is how livesplit is meant to work, either compare to best split times instead of personal best or finish a run.

That's what I tried in the first place. Somehow didn't work out for me. And I might have misformulated 3. What I meant was, that Livesplit doesn't save and update my best split times, even if I finish a run and save them manually. Next run it still compares to -, as if I had no splits done and saved

Check that you are not comparing against none

I do compare against game time and best splits. Guess I'll download Livesplit again and try another time ^^ don't know what else to do
