Hi,

Is it possible to output a SNES to a TV and laptop at the same time?

I've started running SNES games and will need to to record on my laptop but would prefer to play whilst looking at my TV.

Thanks

Similar question. I want to run sega master system on my 12” CRT while recording on my laptop. I use a component yellow and white output. Guess you and me looking for the same adapter.

I wanna add that I need a card that is compatible with Mac

Yeah, any capture card with passthrough can work.

Most people disagree with this (because I believe it has latency), but you could SNES -> HDMI with a passthrough card assuming there isn't a SNES one with passthrough. Not too sure though, I haven't looked into it personally.

You would need something like a retrotink to upscale the signal. Idk if the master system 1 or the master system 2 used antenna cables, but make sure to check what cables you get.

Any capture card also wont work, check the documentation of each card respectively. While you might can use a grabber, most modern capture cards actually do not support certain older low resolutions, which is why you would need an upscaler.

You can also just use a splitter if the capture card doesn't have passthrough. For a composite signal there is no need for a powered splitter, a Y-cable does the job. For HDMI definitely use a powered splitter.

And please don't convert retro console outputs to HDMI without a good upscaler like retrotink or ossc. The latency (and sometimes quality) is horrible.
