brake boosting with franklin's special

hi guys

the GTA:O racing community recently discovered a lil glitch called brake boosting which is used to gain a speed boost on certain bumps and elevation changes. this glitch can be combined with franklin's ability to reach some insane speeds a lot of fun to mess around with and would likely be useful in runs. enjoy

Jolzi, MaximalMegaminx and 2 others like this

I use this trick since this summer. Yes it greatly increases the speed, but I find it useful only for the runs on GTA Online. Because the special ability is not present. And especially what is only useful for long distances.

When I use it in story mode, I do not have the impression of giving me an advantage, due to the abundance of traffic, the fact of having to deliberately ride on the change of elevation, avoiding the pnj and the vehicules. I prefer to use franklin's ability directly and ride without worrying. :P

Maybe someone will find something beneficial in that I have not seen. I will wait for the other answers...

Thanks ricecooker, very useful :)

This is sure to kill some runs but it will definitely be interesting learning when to best use it. I tinkered with it just now, works quite well.

Latvia

well will have no choice but to learn it then :) and experiment

the single player has a good amount of longer distance drives with T or M. I can see the use of it lolman.

True. I had not thought of Michael and Trevor.

yeah i only tested with Franklin and so far its hard to get it consistantly, more like getting lucky for now. Long and hard practice ahead. So probably not gonna do it in runs unless dead.

I downloaded a speedometer to take a look at it. Its...certainly a speedboost. It is not something that is maintained over long distances, you will eventually drop back to the semi-normal speed of your car (I mean for franklin).

I am going to spend some time specifically going through each mission and seeing where I want to do it. I think it will save time but I think it will result in ALOT of lost runs to traffic.
