Apparently credits skip is a thing now: http://www.twitch.tv/martinforslund/c/6862311

We're still on the fence about how to handle it in Any%, but it looks like a clear cut timesave in 105%.

Wouldn't you still need to re-fight Cortex in 105%, since the game wouldn't say 105% until after he's defeated with all gems?

For any%, I'd say it would still count: you do still beat Cortex and the game acts like you have.

For any%: if it is becomes a thing, so that every run should be re-timed because the timer always stops when you press triangle, and not when the last Cortex's live has gone. As Ihavenoname248 said, it should count because you already beated the boss + you don't need do any other inputs due you already beated the last boss of the game (it is basically how any% works on every other Crash game).

105%: not sure if the game gives you 105% when you have all powerups + every item or when you have everything + beated Cortex at least once. I know that you don't need to re-fight Cortex if you already have done to make game shows 105%. I wonder what gives the "%": credits or running shoes.

Any%: If you perform the credits skip, you consequently die, therefore you will have to fight Cortex again anyway because the general consensus on any% categories is that you have to trigger the credits. If you happen to do the trick accidently: tough luck, idiot.

105%: Currently the rules state that the run finishes as soon as Cortex is defeated while having 105%. The thing is: It's not a 105% ending. In order to trigger that specific ending you only need 100% or more. If we would go by the current rules, performing the credits skip would force you to fight Cortex twice, since the first time around you'd only trigger the ordinary ending. The second Cortex fight does not give you any percentage at all. Now this is not quite the same case as in Spyro 2, as we actually do have two different endings in this game, while in Spyro 2 it's still the same ending regardless of percentage. And that is my defence for keeping the rules the way they are. So performing the credits skip would mean that you fight Cortex twice. That is also the reason that Wrath of Cortex 106% is being timed the way it currently is. I intended to keep it similar throughout the entire series, despite the very final part not contributing to the percentage. From what I could gather in chats thus far, people seemed to be on my side on this one, but feel free to say whatever you have to say. Before anybody mentions it: Don't say the category name would just be misleading, because that would be the case in LOADS of other games/categories, particularly those that aren't simply any% or 100%. That's what the rules section is for after all and I am sure it is made pretty clear in the Crash games what's expected in the runs.
