Greetings. I found a new glitch in RRR GBA. Works in both Europe and USA version. But if you want to speedrun, you need to use Europe version anyways - because you can't skip the cage requirements for 1st boss in USA version. This glitch has been confirmed to work both on emulator and on real hardware.

With this glitch, it's possible to beat the game with only 150 Lums. The glitch also skips a couple levels in World 4. Scroll down to see a video demonstration on how to beat the game using this glitch in under 23 minutes.

This glitch is triggered by pressing A+B at the same time when selecting a level. The result is different for each level:

• If you press A+B on the 1st level of ANY World, you might get sent to the level "Not a Piece of Cake" in World 4. This is the level just before the boss level in World 4. If you're unlucky, your game will crash. The success rate is about 20% on emulator, and much higher on real hardware (over 50%).
• If you press A+B on the 2nd-5th level of any world, nothing interesting happens. Your game will crash, or you'll be sent to the overworld, or to the title screen.
• If you press A+B on the boss level of the 4th World, you might get sent to a glitched level, where you'll fall down forever. I haven't found a way to beat this glitchy level. I don't know if it can be beaten. Trying to exit out of this level will crash the game.

Practical application of this glitch: You can beat the game with just 150 Lums in under 23 minutes:

1. Collect 150 lums in a fast way before reaching the 1st racing level in World 1. Please note that the video doesn't show optimal 150 Lums route.
2. Play the game "normally", like shown in the video, until you beat the boss in 3rd World and receive the Elvis costume.
3. Enter 1st level of any World with A+B. If the game doesn't crash, you will get sent to the penultimate level of 4th World. Beat the level normally, and then beat the boss of World 4.
4. Beat the 5th World "normally" like shown in the video.
5. ???
6. Profit! You have skipped "Cake Race" level (which requires 750 lums to enter) and beaten the game in a record time!

A few notes:

• It's possible to teleport from level 1-1 straight to level 4-4. The problem is, after you beat level 4-4, you can't beat the boss of World 4 - you don't have the Elvis powerup obtained by beating World 3... And the previous Worlds won't be open after you exit World 4. If someone manages to find a glitch to receive all costumes - you will be able to completely skip World 1, 2, 3, and a huge part of World 4. I wouldn't be surprised if you could beat the entire game in under 15 minutes!
• The game crash is up to your luck. If you press A+B too early after entering the level select screen, your game might crash. If you press A+B on the wrong frames, the game might crash. If you hold A+B for too short or for too long, the game might crash. I would recommend holding A+B for about 0.3 seconds.

This video was recorded in the European version of the game. This route doesn't work for USA version, because in USA version you can't bypass the Crate requirements in World 1. So if you plan on speedrunning, you'll need to use the European version.

hopefully mods can deal with this accordingly, i would suggest a category split for any% since this is a pretty big route changer, and isnt really consistent with the warp. old any% category would be renamed to "Any% No 4-4 Warp" while a new category just called Any% will be made, which allows the use of the warp

emu would also prob have to enforce a gba bios so resetting if the game crashed would be accurate to real hardware, where itd show up the gba startup screen. hopefully a mod actually sees this and does something lol

Hi, I found a way to skip world 1,2,3

you can go to your other gamefile and select the elvis costum and when he transforms you exit the level and go back to your first gamefile. Then do the wrong warp. you can select any costum you want with this glitch.

idk if this is any% bc you enter another gamefile but still nice.

yeah i suggested ng+ for the elvis costume between files, as it should not at all be counted for any% thanks to it being prerun setup (needing a file that already unlocked the costume)
