So I recently submitted a SM64 31 star run and it was rejected because all category extensions must be vods. I've seen twitch voids be frowned upon, would this be okay? I would basically use twitch as a way to verify my runs, and if anyone wants to pop in they can I guess but I'm not looking to become the next Ninja or PewDiePie lol

Twitch VODs are fine (just make sure that it's a highlight, since Twitch won't save the raw stream forever). It's just that Twitch's video player is kind of terrible and they have a tendency to make changes that break links. YouTube is generally better and more reliable so I'd recommend using that if possible (it's really easy to export Twitch highlights to YouTube).
