I dont mean, do you accept new people into your discord. I mean do you guys care about having someone thats a known runner of the game start being more involved with this site. Also whether you guys care to fully work to help assist new people in learning the run. So far i havnt uploaded my more PBs because my last one took 3 weeks to check, and i was made to feel like I was a hassle for uploading it. I will wait till i got a time closer to my goals to upload a new one. All i have done the last couple months is cause more speedrunners to turn their eyes onto starfox64, and have gotten to be known as a top player for Any% on Twitch. I have taught people how to do the runs and how to learn the hardest tricks. Reasons why every trick is done and time differences. All learned by myself, no real help from anything provided on this site or discord aside from reviewing the current WR for basic info. Meanwhile, this discord and main members of this site have really ignored and alienated me. I felt very rejected, all this has left the discord to have a foul taste in my mouth. Judging by your response I am correct to assume that you have no earthly idea about me at all. And i will take another plunge, and assume no mods here have even cared in the slightest ether. I am talking out of hope, and concern. I want to make sure you guys know that there No undertones, or hidden meaning here. Just a somewhat serious topic that i feel the need to converse about. I want this to be about Facts and opinions, Nothing to do with Emotions and Drama. This has been on my mind for a long time now, and i have only had these thoughts/feelings confirmed by others.

It's really hard to guage what it is you're actually asking them. Leaderboard ranking has no baring on forum activity; everyone no matter their status is welcome to utilise both it and the discord freely; as a newcomer to SF64 myself I've always seen the mods act supportive of players no matter their skill level and the discord has been a really great and useful place to ask for advice for me in the past - which is something you seem to imply they're not helping with which is confusing to me - so whatever happened I'd advise you to keep an open mind about your situation.

As for objective concerns like the time between pb verifications that's quite common accross all SRC leaderboards; 21 days is actually the baseline standard of time as mentioned in the site rules so I don't believe a few weeks of wait reflects poorly on a moderators standing - it doesn't mean you're a hassle, far from it infact; three weeks time is simply just the standard mods try to aim for even if their schedules are busy.

No offense meant ofc but If the aim of this thread is to clear up some kind of misunderstanding that's caused you to withdraw from the community in the past then I think you're going about it in the wrong way; you can't just say you don't want drama then assume the mods are irresponsible without giving them a chance to address your concerns before you bring them up in the thread. Whatever's going on here I hope you find the closure you're looking for but this sounds like the kind of thing you should discuss in DMs with mods not on a public community forum while being passive aggressive.

That's just my 2 cents as a moderator for different communities while being a new runner to SF64. Hope my prespective helps in some way and goodluck on any future runs you do! It's always great seeing runners push past their limits into greater heights, no matter the circumstance.

Asking questions and speaking my point of view for clarity is undeniably me keeping an open mind and trying to get some progress and hopefully understand more. And you clearly dont understand what i mean, for starters i never raised any problem about the delay in my time being checked. But if you want to bring that up then if someone says say 2 weeks, then do it in 2 weeks. If its going to be over correct the text to be 2-3 weeks or warn it will be up to a whole month. Just basic logic, and usually a legal standard for companies not to lie about that kind of thing. (and yes i know this isnt a company, blah, blah blah. This is whats called an example, just like me mentioning the delay before)

I said i dont mean any drama because i am stating my opinions and point of view, and not talking at all about being offended or raising any problemns/issues. Just looking for clarity and direct feedback. It seems you clearly missed the whole point of me doing this.

You are very confusing, telling me to understand others when thats all i am trying to do, and the whole point of this. Telling me that you dont mean offence, but wrongly assuming things that would easily cause offence. And stright up ignoring parts of what i was saying, while over analyzing other things.

And my personal experience and others is that the discord is friendly, but constantly ignoring people and really fast to jump onto drama that isnt there. I never said anything about it being bad, juist that it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hopefully that clears things up, Heres a hint. If you think somethings wrong, You are misunderstanding me. Is this not fourm for conversation? Or am i not allowed to talk without having some repercussions and assumptions believing that i am upset or emotional somehow, when i clearly am not.

if i come off as crass, harsh, or rude then so be it. This is a subject i feel the need to be blunt about and dont have much concern for typing all these paragraphs just to explain basic human behaviors and my motivations behind every single word i type.

As I said before, you're more than welcome to join the discord so long as you're willing to bring positive and productive discussion to the community. Our community is welcoming to new runners, and while we don't have a lot of resources, we're always willing to do our best to help anyone out :)
