How to do triangulation

I know how it works but i have no idea how to do it so pls help me

How to find the meeting point

Singapore

there are multiple ways to do it, but my method is as follows: when you're close to the stronghold, throw one eye and note the exact angle. follow this angle from where you threw, running about 50 blocks or so and placing a block trail as you go. then run off to the side of the line without placing blocks, and throw another eye, again following it (and, if you want, placing a block trail as well). Where these two lines meet is the chunk where the starter staircase of the stronghold is. If you run with F3, you can press F3+G to show the chunk borders to help with identifying the correct chunk. Once identified, turn on F3 and dig down at chunk coordinates 4 4 (or around there - personally i prefer digging down next to 4 4 and not directly on it because if your stronghold is super scuffed, you might fall through the middle of the staircase and down into the bottom of a ravine).

another thing that can help with identifying the right chunk is to remember the fact that the eye always points to chunk coordinates 8 8 of the staircase chunk. So if you follow the angle precisely, then once you arrive at the intersection point, you can further verify it by checking if you're standing on or close to 8 8 of the chunk identified.

Thanks but i think there is more of a mathematical way to do it, i asked my teacher because we are learning about something similair to triangulation

i'm going to explain my own strategy and don't know what pro runners do(i had this Question long ago) So you throw the first eye and take the angle now you turn 90 degrees left or right and run 50 or 100 blocks(100 is way more accurate) now throw the second and take the angle too. Calculate the difference now a bit harder divide that by 45 take the inverse fraction and multply it by the distance you taveled to the site Edit: The distance you get is from the point where you first threw the pearl normally that doesn't matter but on very shallow throws it can make a diff a little example: First eye is 8 degrees so i run 100 blocks towards 98 degrees and throw the second eye. It shows me 23 degrees. the difference is 15 divided by 45 i come to 1/3 the inverse fraction is 3/1 so 3. I multiply the 100 blocks i traveled by 3 and the portal should be around 300 blocks away

it works the math actually isn't that complicated i'm to lazy to explain it here but it basically is a right angeled triangle ( when you're very near spawn the eyes can actually fly to different portals then it of course doesn't work) but you have to be accurate on the angles and long ranges can diviate quite fast so maybe travel 150 or 200 blocks to the side when you know you're far away
