Game Request Rejected

Is there a way to talk to the people who determine if a game is rejected or accepted. I recently had a game request rejected and all I was told was that it was considered short/trivial. That seems pretty vague and subjective, so I was just curious as to if there is a way I can talk to whoever made that decision.

@shinuu How do I know who is a moderator and where on the site can I message them?

@Garsh thank you

I had a similar experience, my request was deemed ‘not notable’. But, scrolling through the games on the site, especially web games, there are tons which nobody has ever heard of (and that I am sure have fewer players than my game), and lots of them have dodgy mods who verify their own dodgy times. Very frustrating

Sod off.

  1. Many of those games were probably added before the rules got stricter.
  2. Notability is not about how wide spread the game is. It's about the quality of the game.
  3. Self-verification is not dodgy. Quite often it's necessary because there is only one mod, and only needs to be one mod.
  4. I put the odds very low that you, having never run those games, can tell what a dodgy time is. If it's really that important to you, prove they're cheating and talk to the full mods. Oh wait, it doesn't even matter because you don't run the game.

How about this for dodgy (only 4 months ago): https://www.speedrun.com/football_game/run/y666l20y

I didn’t mean to offend anyone by merely voicing my opinion. Please don’t tell me to sod off just because you don’t want to see people making reasonable complaints

@Garsh Just want to let you know that all of those people on the list are merely past contributors and have no say in site administration.

Me and Meta are the people available who can help regarding those issues.

@JJRC You are right. There were no other runs on the board besides the false one by the moderator, who should not be moderating the board, so the board has been deleted altogether for someone else in the future to request it and take up the mantle.

@JJRC As someone said in another thread, if you have evidence of someone cheating a run or doing nonsense (like in that "foot ball game"), you should report it to the game moderators.

If this someone is the game moderator, you can report the user to site stuff via the support hub. But I can assure you that most moderators are not like this.

As for the "foot ball game" example - we don't know the details of the game request, but good chance it was legit. The fact the mod did nonsense in the leaderboard is a different thing.

Edit: apparently you can't spell "foot" and "ball" together...

My issue is not you making a complaint It's your excessive generalization
