"Formal" opinion/vote on removing standard difficulty.

Iwer Sonsch brought this up again recently in the discord, and one of Tei's recent runs for William Wallace seems to have somehow been set to Hard. Every respectably good runner runs on hard, most of the Standard column is empty, and what I did with keeping Standard for Wallace runs is quite pointless in retrospect. You can't select difficulty for Wallace but maybe that just means that there is no difficulty difference? and even if there was, it doesn't warrant its own column to hog up the rest of the space. I expect most people to agree but I've had a bad habit as a mod for several games to take action that seems reasonable only for people to disagree after the fact or be all confused, so here.

Also, side note for Wallace, I don't think rules requiring manipulating whatever to have Wallace runs on hard should be made unless someone wants to test out tangible differences in difficulty on that.

Japan

we can lauch william wallace only on campaign extracted on steam workshop (or from scenario), i tried the hard difficulty on this campaign but it's not harder comparate standard difficulty

Figures. I'll move the Wallace runs and remove the column within a few days probably

Germany

With the new space on the board, I would be interested in a "Glitchless" category where we would forbid a series of glitches, e.g. relic glitch, Stone Age glitch, and the 5-2 victory from killing green and yellow. Would depend on popularity of course

Japan

why not, and the glitch deathmatch on aoe 3 lol

Vietnam

I know it's late, but you can play the WW campaign on Hard by using AoK.

Might be too restrictive to force AoK usage for Wallace runs IMO, but I guess that would be the preference.

Vietnam

About the differences between difficulty, you can test this easily by going to WW7 and pass the units to the red gate, if it's on Hard the towers will attack right away as the units are in range, if it's on Standard the towers won't attack unless you move the units near them. However it seems only WW5 and WW7 are different, rest was the same according to my tests before. Edit: I found out the reason why you can play the campaign on Hard, On AoK you can change difficulty of WW by playing a mission of another campaign on the difficulty you want, then quit or finish the map, then go back to WW and you'll be locked in the difficulty of the previous map.

sub 0:44 for mission 6 so ? lol

Germany

The hardest common difficulty for Wallace is Standard, and it seems that no higher difficulty will change anything. For other levels, outside of AoK, the hardest difficulty is Hard. Should be possible to write in the rules for "Any%"
