Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD. This means that you can run Windows executables in UNIX operating system (like Linux)

Ah thanks

Sorry for bump, speedrun.com is really bad about notifying me about anything. The inclusion of Wine just means that we count runs under Wine or Steam's Proton as valid, so that people with Mac or Linux operating systems can run this game. The translation of the Windows API calls are perfect as far as we can tell, so it's legal.
