In this category, players must beat the main game in the fastest time whilst avoiding making contact with all of the following:

enemies (excluding bosses) friendly entities, such as Toads, Plessie, Rabbits, presents etc. projectiles, such as fireballs, boomerangs etc. coins Power-ups (including light/cannon boxes) stamps The only entities that you can touch are green stars (or shines [including shards] for BF) and the flag. Deaths are allowed as long as they aren’t to an enemy or projectile (so only pit/lava deaths are allowed, but not recommended, since that would slow the run down). If any of the rules above are broken, the run must be reset. Points do not matter much in this run, only the time.

Big shame that 5-1 exists cause if it's for 3dw, then you are stuck on a Plessie autoscroller, so that's as far as you can go.

Forcing the player to reset the run is not reasonable. All categories that do this require you to restart the level, not the full run. Also, how would you monitor if a runner collects extra items? This is just itemless but with more unnecessary rules imo.
