Hey, this is my first post after joining speedrun today. I am completely new to all of this, I did a little bit of reading and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to have an auto-splitter for 2048 via Livesplit? Kind of like the splits listed on https://2048.neiunderscore.com/

Unfortunately you can't, if you right click on Livesplit after opening it and go to "Edit Splits" you can type in the game that you'll be running, and after you select the game it'll tell you if there's an Auto Splitter available for it and who made it if there is one, otherwise it'll say "There is no Auto Splitter available for this game." and it says that for 2048. It might be technically possible to have one made in the future, but I doubt anyone would bother since you can just use the sight you linked to and have that split automatically instead, you know?

Alright thank you. Is is possible to have OBS auto-record and auto-stop recording when you die? Or is this something you have to just manually start/stop?

I think the easiest thing would just be to like. Hit record on OBS, stop recording when you're done for the day or when you get a time you're submitting, then go into a video editor and crop out the part you're submitting

A bit late to reply but it seems riley answered a lot of the questions here. Yes, most runners in the community manually record our runs and submit times based off of the timer on Nei’s website or on 2048 League, which are the two main websites for speedrunning the game.
