Do I need a screen recorder

I currently use my watch for a timer and my kindle to record

Illinois, USA

Screen recorders are not required, just make sure most of the game is visible. Taven, who has a 4:56 uses a phone, so im 100% sure its ok

Lower Saxony, Germany

As long as you can See most of the Game (I would say a little bit of the ground up to the Timer because the Timer in the Start at 1-1 is used for timing) (Look at the rules if you havent yet :P ) You can See that people like taven, minertyler100 or eddiecatgaming (for example) Record Three Screens aswell. Good luck!

You must capture the whole run on video and it needs to be reasonably watchable and try to make sure you capture the entire picture and not have some of it missing.

One problem I've ran into while trying to record a crt tv is when you try to retime a run there is a flash at the beginning when the game is loading, making it hard to retime and some of my runs have actually gotten rejected because you couldn't tell when the 400 appeared. The flash shouldn't happen on a flat screen tv though if you are using one.

It can still happen on an LCD/LED TV though because of the sudden change from going dark to bright and can take a bit of time for the camera to adjust. I will say that it's not as bad as CRT typically though.

Video Capture is really a good thing in hand, but it's expensive if you don't have many money in your pocket. I experienced that flash screen problem when I record my TV with a cellphone. If you use an emulator on your PC, just download a screen recorder and you good to go now (I prefer OBS for recording and you can also stream with that software). And I also suggest GV-USB2 to record your screen directly into your PC (may also suggest to buy Composite splitter so you can split the signal into your TV and your PC if you use Composite video). If you don't have money then just record it with your phone or any device that can record a video.
