Verifiers should be able to verify their own edits

I submitted feedback through the support hub and I'd like to know other moderator's opinions on it as well:

Verifiers should be able to verify runs when they submit or edit them. This process is unnecessarily broken into two steps for verifiers, who first have to edit the run and only then can verify it from the verification queue. Runs on the site very frequently require edits when details are wrong and the fact that this basic feature of verification is locked from people whose key responsibility IS verification causes constant tension.

I agree with this, not allowing verifiers to self verify is fine, but not allowing them to immediately verify runs that they submitted on someone else's behalf or editing someone else's run is unnecessarily tedious.

Verifiers are in a weird state on this site. IMO it's people who you don't fully trust to mod yet or you don't trust to not change categories and stuff at random. If that's what they're there for, then allowing them to edit runs they're verifying or 'edit' and re-verify their runs could easily lead to abuse. That's at least my opinion, they're kind of a weird concept to me. I feel like having mod and super mods is kind of confusing.

The absolute worst part of being a verifier has to be not being able to verify a run after editing it, but needing to resubmit and verify. It's so bad that these days I just hand out mod instead of verifier because I feel bad for them (example: https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe)
