FINAL RESULTS: VC loading time advantage: 45.5 seconds emu(Desmume) loading time advantage: 38.7 seconds

Ah makes sense, I think having both times side by side would make sense at least, and use the discounted time as the one it's sorted by if that's what you guys want.

Totally agree. Most games like that cut out loading times or make some change in the timing have one row next to the names that its sorted by, then next to that is real time. Something like:

Rank: Player: Adjusted Time: Time: Platform: Date:

There's probably a better name for the adjusted time.

Italy

There's no problem about said accuracy, I guess tenths are enough, and ty for EMU times too, that's a really big step. Mmh, the thing about adjusted time is that you can't sort runs by a variant, it's not a real problem but I'd prefer using another solution, like: -using with / without loading times columns (meh, kinda confusing) -adding time to EMU/VC runs and stating on the description of the run what would have been the times with different consoles -something else

i'm not a fan of modifying the actual time a run takes, especially if modifications need to be adjusted in the future. it would also make submission more complicated as you would have to check each run to see whether they modified their time or not.

i think the with / without loading times works great, the doc seems to have the numbers for all the consoles. what's the issue with that? subtract 110 from DS, 72 from emu, 65 from VC, etc.

anyway, not a fan of the change in general since i'm not convinced load times are that consistent in this game, and i've never really been a fan of "close enough" times.

If we didn't have the change at all, then nobody would run DS because it's ridiculously difficult to get under 23:30 in Any%, which is what the WR is eventually going to become.

Italy

I meant to use those loading times as DS times (w loads) and the actual time (w/o loads). But now that Walrus got all the loading times, it seems a more viable option.

I agree with ewaller that we shouldn't modify the actual times- I think having two columns would be the best. Subtracting total load times (1:50.8, 1:12.2, 1:05.3) would be inaccurate for a different number of loading zones (dying, going to a toad house, etc) but I can make a guide/spreadsheet for the loading times.

ewaller, if you're worrying about the accuracy, which is a valid concern and I'm glad you brought it up, I can time a second run for each console to try to find any errors.

Italy

Once I get my PC working again (within a week pls), I'll make this no loading times column. If anyone doesn't agree with this big changement, argue here

Hopefully today I'll be able to finish the guide for calculating in game time.

I know this is late and I am probably the only 3Ds nsmb runner but what are the loading times for 3Ds? Use my run if needed

Changes To Video Requirements And Emulator Loading Times

Hi everyone, please read below for information regarding some important changes to video proof and emulator timing.

As of September 12th 2022, runs for all categories will require video proof to be verified on the leaderboard. Previously video proof was only required for Any% runs, however we are
