ESS Position & Controllers

As of right now, i speedrun OOT on an emulator using an XBox 360 controller since that is the best pc controller i have. It is terrible for percise analog stick movement and has quite a bad input delay so its actually horrible for speedrunning. I cant do a WESS consistently at all because the deadzone i have to use on the emulator extends to the very edge of where ESS position is making me have to hold the analog stick extremely precisely or it will fail and not work. I was thinking about buying a USB GC controller but im worried im gonna pay for it and itll be some horrible flimsy trash. if someone could direct me to a good controller to use with an emulator for speedrunning, that would help a lot, thanks :D

Original GC controller (or n64) with adapter to PC (mayflash) is what most of us use. If that's too expensive you'll have to take your chances since as far as I know there aren't any 'great' third party controllers, I used to play with my PS4 one for a while and it worked fine though.

I use an original N64 controller + mayflash usb adapter for emulator. Not that expensive and totally worth it, I´ve heard other people had good results too with original GC controller + the same kind of adapter

I use an original GC controller as well as the GC controller adapter that Nintendo released for smash 4. Its kinda pricy, but I had both handy since I play the game competitively. It's worked very well for me so far. There's many drivers you can install to let the adapter work on your pc, so just hit up youtube and pick your favourite ^~^

Hello guys, didnt wanted to make a new thread, my question is nearly the same, but i plan to buy this controller from hori, as its cheaper : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00ND0E5ZU/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Does anyone play with this and know if this is good for ESS? and as much precise as an original gamecube controller ?

In terms of deadzone on an N64, it's the same as a regular N64 controller. Its alot more durable too so buying that wouldnt be a bad choice

Muted Audio on Twitch Highlights

Recently, many longer runs submitted as Twitch highlights have had parts of their audio muted due to Twitch's automatic copyright detection, the most frequent case being long sections of Lost Woods music.
