The level 4 "tree hop" is clearly a skip.

When you climb up the first rope in level 4, you are clearly supposed to go to the left and use the 2nd rope. Wall jumping off the tree to the right and landing on the platform underneath the 3rd rope is a clear skip, and should not be allowed in 100% No Skips. Just my 2 cents.

The no skips category can be interpreted in two ways:

  1. Use the route that Jazzuo intended + don't glitch
  2. Stay inbounds + don't glitch

I think the mods have decided on the second interpretation. The difference between the alternate Level 4 route and the Level 3 barrier jump is that the barrier jump takes you out of bounds, whereas you are still inbounds when doing the Level 4 tree walljump. That's also why the jump straight to the face from the L-shaped blocks in Level 3 is allowed, even though Jazzuo probably intended you to swing on the ropes above.

Yeah exactly what chip said no skips is pretty much inbounds without glitches

If really necessary there could be another category something along the lines of "original route" or "intended route" and the current no skips could become inbounds glitchless

I just didn't see a point in having another speedrunning category but if there is enough demand for one I can defiantly make another category

I think the level categories are fine because they are kind of a compendium of the community's best splits so people can see what the theoretically best possible time can be (although there are a few missing times, like Deffar's 3s Level 1). Personally I would like an Any% Glitchless category. It would basically be the same as Any% Skips, except the Level 3 strat would be the barrier jump. I think it would have potential for being the most competitive category because the Level 3 clip is highly inconsistent (I personally get it first try around 1/15 of the time) and the barrier jump feels more in the player's control.
