Denial speed of game

So, I submitted GeoGuessr to speedrun.com, fully expecting it to get denied but that's why I wrote like a couple paragraphs of text, with links to a google sheet and speedrunning videos, but it immediately gets denied within 2 minutes from being "short/generic and not notable". I know there's other reasons it could get denied but how would I get the mods to take a closer look past being denied within 2 minutes? I don't see how you can read/watch the links and the entire description within 2 minutes, I know the specific speedrun I submitted was very short but there's other categories as well.

That's because you are definitely not the first one who requested GeoGuessr. Check out this thread (from 2 years ago!): https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/czj4g

I know that I'm not the first one to request it but that thread is from 2 years ago and things change over that time. One of the first things I'm noticing is that there's mentions of making actual leaderboards and trying again later - which I included in the submission. It's also been denied for a completely different reason from the one in that thread - if they're denying it based on google maps or whatever, I'm fine with that - it's the speed and reason it's been denied that I'm annoyed about. If you're going to deny it for being a google maps game or it being submitted plenty of times and being rejected, don't deny it for being short/generic and not notable, deny it for being a google maps game or it being submitted plenty of times.

I understand your point, but I think that complaining about a "wrong" rejection reason is arguing over semantics. You said that things change over time. Well, something was indeed changed - several months ago, a new rule was added against requesting too short/generic/not notable games.

I don't know what was the rejection reason 2 years ago, but the current rejection reason is valid because there is now this rule in place.

Also, you asked about the super fast rejection time of the game. Since apparently this game is requested and rejected many MANY times, I imagine it doesn't take more than 10 seconds to reject it one more time.

Site staff mentioned a few times in that original thread I believe that games based off of Google Maps would not be accepted. I do not believe that policy has changed since then so that is probably the root reason for the continued rejection of GeoGuesser.

Okay, fair enough - I honestly just wish I could use the site's layout as it's pretty convenient compared to a google doc but that's not happening if it's not getting accepted as a game. Oh well.
