was wondering what you guys think are some good games for IL Speedrunning ...... in game timers such as Goldeneye would be a plus but not necessary. thanks, hope this hasn't been posted before sorry if it has.

N (v1.4) is one of the best for ILs. It has in-game leaderboards for highscore mode (which involves collecting gold) and there's a mod called Nreality which adds a speedrun mode (which is simply completing levels as fast as possible) and a lot of extra levels. In fact, because of the leaderboards and the game's extremely high skill cap most of the community is centered around IL highscoring. It's an old game and most levels are already fairly well optimized, but if you're interested, check out our forums at http://forum.droni.es/

thanks guys. Ah yes ive played a bit of N. very simple yet hard game. kind of reminded me of dustforce which makes for another great IL game. going to check out Freedom Planet, its funny i havent heard of it before. I'd love to hear more guys.

Any game with a level select and an In game timer.

I think Aarus awakening and Rayman legends are great for IL's.

If a game gives you a timer at the end of the level, an in-game timer, I think it would make for a good IL speed-run game. Anything from a kart racer like Mario Kart or something like Pokemon Rumble World or Sonic '06... erm... nevermind that last one.

NES Remix has all times for each level tracked in-game and recently got a board here.

Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and deluxe are all quite good but are hard. Megaman and Pokémon Rumble(s) are good too.

Recently I started back playing Nier which RTA times everything from load and save scenes, load screens/ transfers and every cutscene and dialog section and including end credits all the way up to the last save it gives after that gives the final time as soon as you select to save. give or take about a few minutes from the actual unskipable credits at end and another 30s or so for the last save you can make the final shown time is fairly accurate to RTA timing.

Anyways pretty much any game that shows and or gives time at the end is good. (Ex; Resident Evil games )

Personnaly, when it comes to ILs, the perfect example imo is Racing games (Initial D, Forza, everything that allows you to Time Attack). Also, i guess Monster Hunter games could work too, since there's a lot of missions to do.

Most of the James Bond games, in my opinion; Goldeneye N64 is one of the most famous IL speedgames (If you haven't seen Ryan Lockwood's Streets Agent 1:12 video, I'd highly recommend it). From Russia With Love and Quantum of Solace are pretty good too.

If only I was able to capture my MH4 from my 3ds, id be looking into running the missions. Good suggestions tho sir. <3 Heck everyone has good ones.

Netherlands

Age of Empires Series are great for it, it are basically all individual levels anyway without something going through from 1 to the other.
