hey guyz
Can you add in the rules that a run can be invalid due to missing audio ... Coz i just have this wonderful news today for my 53 min pb .... Missing audio is just due to listenning youtube playlist during my streams ....
So thx in advance to update rules.
ps : here is the run :
ps2 = here is the full stream ( sorry it s Z2 in the beginning )
Just looking into your speedrun history, you ran Battle of Olympus, their rules links to https://goo.gl/pYN6AR
In your case, you're essentially already aware of the general NES rules, so that's on you if you ask me. But it wouldn't hurt to add it for CV2 as well @Burb
Edit: Suddenly uncertain, your issue is with youtube/twitch audio coypright issues, rather than mods supposedly having rejected a subitted run because you yourself didn't include game audio all the way through?
That s the first time i have a run reject for that reason ... Never got this on Zelda 1 , Zelda 2 , winter Solstice , Battle of olympus ... In the general NES rules it s recommended and not mandatory.... So it just depends on the moderator and for CV2 this rule does not exist ...
That s why according to my opinion, i think the reject is a bit abusive ... Especially that I don't claim for a world record and that s the first run i submit for this game...
i think just a warning would have been better ....
I'll go over the rules this weekend and add some clarification in terms of audio and video requirements.
For a speedrun to be verified, game audio should be present at all times. Just video is not enough. We treat every run equally regardless of skill level. If game audio had been captured your run would have been fine.
It should also be worth noting that Twitch sent out an email to a lot of stremers this week regarding updated DMCA policy for music and deleted infringing vods for a lot of people. It's not safe to play music on stream. You risk getting temporarily banned from twitch or have your account terminated if the rights holder issues a DMCA takedown. Some people have nuked their entire VOD history as a precaution.
