Rules update - Local recordings

We approved QD's last run even though it was split into multiple VODs. It would make things easier if everyone makes sure that they record a local copy when they're streaming from now on:

Make sure you tick the boxes for "Automatically save stream to file" as well as "Keep recording if live stream stops", then if Twitch disconnects you during the run, you can upload the video to YouTube or similar and you will still have an unsegmented run.

In the future, we may reject runs that have several VODs.

I had local recording on, but not "Keep recording if live stream stops"; it's several vod's on my pc now. ¤edit¤ I never had live stream split before. ¤edit¤ Runs with several vods have been accepted in the past as well. I guess you had difficulties with the gaps in the run?

I don't have any other possibility to have vods of my runs than on twitch.tv I don't have a youtube account I would use to upload A:I-runs. If I had to upload a locally recorded run because of disconnect issues, I would have to restream it.

If you want to use Twitch and restream the recording, that's up to you. But you might run into the exact same problem and end up with several VODs with missing footage.

With a video-sharing website, that's not a problem. There are alternatives to YouTube as well:
