Max Payne 2 Individual Levels

Hello, I thought of adding Individual Level leaderboards for Max Payne 2, If anyone ever wants to take a stab at runs for levels, you can submit them on the corresponding level leaderboard.

But now clarifying the rules for the runs:

-Runs are timed RTA (Real Time Attack), the timing starts after the initial cutscene is over or is skipped and the player gains control of Max, however, it is also approved to use a save file that has Max standing at the starting position of the level, and ends once the load screen for the next level appears, however, for "That Old Familiar Feeling", the timing ends upon the cutscene of Vlad dying.

-All runs MUST be on Dead on Arrival Difficulty, the use of quicksaving/quickloading is allowed.

-All weapons/ammo, painkillers and bullet time bonuses must be brought over from other levels (this means using Developer Keys/Cheats in order to obtain weapons, ammo, painkillers, or bullet time is not allowed). The reason for this is because there are specific weapons that are normally not obtainable at specific levels (For example, an M4 Carbine at P1C1, Elevator Doors) and also there are specific levels in which it isn't normally possible to have bullet time bonuses right before playing them.

However, the use of Developer Keys/Cheats to refill Max's health prior to starting the runs is allowed.

Also, feel free to use this thread to ask any questions you may have.

Hello I did these back in 2004, not sure if they fit your criteria? Of course tactics and skill have come a long way since my first demos .. which were basically just run, kill as smooth as I could .. However if they are ok, could they be submitted? https://archive.org/details/MaxPayne2_NYminute

As I said in the rules, runs have to be on Dead on Arrival difficulty, the reason for this is because in some levels, if you are playing on NYM or using "Jump to Chapter", you are given a different set of weapons than usual. For instance, in P3C7, Love Hurts, if you were playing on Dead on Arrival you would be given a set of assault rifles and no one-handed weapons, meaning you wouldn't be able to superjump until you kill an enemy who has a one-handed weapon, whereas in NYM, you are given a pistol and a pump shotgun from the start of the level. As I also said, runs are timed RTA, which means real time, whereas in NYM in-game time is used. Sadly, your runs are invalid, but regardless it's amazing to see such old runs from way back when MP2 speedrunning had taken off.
