So I was going to get into speedrunning so i get livesplit and stuff, download portal splits. I click load splits from file, and livesplit crashes, is there any way to fix this or does anyone have the same problem?

I've been using live split for months and not had this problem. I'd check to make sure its compatible.

Does it happen every time or was it a one-time thing? Also, did the crash notification have any details or was it just a general "program has crashed" text?

I mean obvious troubleshooting stuff like redownloading LiveSplit, or making sure it's the most up to date version of it. Regardless, I hope everything gets worked out with your LiveSplit problems! Good luck with your future speedruns!

I thought that it might have to do with the splits file being quite old (21 Jul 2015), but nonetheless tried opening it and it worked fine. Of course by now the category was renamed to the more common Inbounds name. Other than that the split names are: 00/01, 02/03, 04/05, 06/07, 08, 09, 10, 11/12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, es00, es01, es02. (of course you can also give them other names, I like to put the seamshot coordinates in the 06/07 name, so I can't forget them and also type out escape00 and such) You can set this up yourself easily by right clicking, selecting 'Close Splits' (in case you have anything open currently) and then chosing Edit Splits. On the left there are button to add more rows. When you're done check the Autosplitter settings, close the Editor via the Okay button and save your new splits file.
