Game clock running slow

Yesterday I submitted my first attempt at Any% and it was rejected.

Interestingly the reason was that my game ran slow: "Compared to another run you're 48 seconds on the timer to each of their minutes. "

I have no idea how to go about fixing it. Assist mode is off.

My computer meets minimum requirements and I get plenty of FPS. I have tried windowed/fullscreen, vsync on/off and having no other programs running. Nothing seems to affect this issue.

I'm looking for suggestions/ideas!

What patch version is your game running, because earlier versions have different timers, if it is too early of a patch then they cannot accept the time

My game is on version 1.2.3.2

Maybe it has something to do with how you recorded the video?

I used OBS Studio to create a scene with LiveSplit as an overlay, but, even with no software running besides the game, it still is running slow. I tried other games but they run fine.

You use autosplitter? In game timer?

If you're on Windows it might be worth trying the OpenGL version instead.

Did you fix it? Anything worked? I have the same issue and can't do anything about it

I suggest you try to change celeste to window mode in 3x size and make sure your obs settings are 720p with 30 fps in cpu mode rather than gpu. I had a lot of issues with a slow stuttering gameplay myself and that fixed it. you can use the borderless window software which is on sale on humble bundle for 99 cents to force it into fullscreen either way but the game will run and record smoothly.

Reviving this old thread because a fellow in discord had the same issue mentioned here, and managed to fix it by disabling something called 'Windows Aero'. Not sure if this solution will work for everyone else, but maybe it will help, and at least is a hint that other windows processes could be the culprit.
