Warp Jumps

Hi all, I want to run this game. What makes me go crazy is the warp jumps on the mushrooms. Is there any way to get these in a consistent way? I just dont seem to figure out a pattern which drives me nuts.. Thanks!

Firstly, this game is real bad and I don't encourage self-harm.

Second, they're not consistent at all. No one has ever, to my knowledge, figured out what causes them to work. If you end up discovering any sort of consistent way to make them work, I'll be very interested to learn more.

Best of luck! (You'll need it)

Yeah I kind of want to run it because it looks like a big joke. Maybe my inner me wants to punish me I don't know.

My fingers almost bled today trying to get a consistent method on those jumps but no luck yet. I am not that experienced in speedruns and this game is quite hard to even finish a run. I have to put a lot of effort in even starting a run because of the first warp jump.. But I'll keep on trying, that's what running is about, eh?

Thanks for the reply!

I did some digging in to the warp jumps and what I found might not be encouraging. I found the memory address that controls whether or not the warp jump is successful. Unfortunately, the value changes seemingly randomly. 48 of the 256 (18.75%) possible values generate a successful warp jump.
