Regarding Timing and Categories
  1. I have made a category for the Japanese variation of the game, as the mechanics are significantly different (for one, enemies do half damage, as do own grenades). It is a misc category by default as runners have deemed it to be something we shouldn't encourage.

  2. we have made significant changes to the timing method of both stories games. The method is a little weird I guess (combining RTA and IGT in some cases if rules are 'broken'), but the purpose is to stop abuse of pausing without adding a punishment for pager skipping on ps2, and to make runs with different setups more comparable

if anyone has any feedback, feel free to post it here

My only concern is that this category is indeed faster due to this, it's still the same any% route and I personally hate it when communities split up the leaderboards so the any% isn't the real any%.

well, fair point, but any%-J isn't necessarily saying it isn't any% too, it's just the mechanics are different enough that it's practically a different game (which the category is any% of)

I think runners wouldn't want these any%'s combined as they're different games mechanically (if people disagree I can remove the category but the people I've asked have said this is for the best), but there's always the possibility of not hiding it as a misc. category

Japanese is not majorly different to warrant a different category though. Sure, it's easier, but as of now there are no insane new strats because of this.

[LCS] is it fine to pause for about 15s every so often to stretch? about every half an hour. i ask because of this:

The mods of the game reserve the right to disallow any runs found intentionally circumventing this rule (ie: pausing for 19 seconds, unpausing and instantly pausing again).

that's fine I think, as long as it's not over the top
