Ron speedrunning is kinda dumb and rng based

I don't can't type my reasoning here and give it justice, my new video is about to explain why RON speedrunning can be incredibly inconsistent and stupid. Please just take a watch, and give me your thoughts. I need to know if im going crazy or something

(premiers at 9:15 est.) so a few minutes

Left a like on it -

I do think the normal system still works with this; however low-time runs (meaning ones generally under the 6-8 Minute+ Category), are partially (meaning 60%+) RNG Based for justification time, although it only varies up to about 22 seconds, from what I've seen; usually when a user has a lower ping, in the 10-15 ping range at most, the justification time on a median through my videos goes down by approximately 11.5 seconds. By probability, JHRacer did get incredibly lucky, being entirely on one end of the spectrum for justification time being as short as possible through this.

As war exhaustion, multiple justifications & time management while invading more than two countries takes effect in a speedrun, justification time has little to no effect on the actual run.

Therefore; I would say his run is legitimately attained, however it is RNG-based on ping on right around the lowest 3% justification time in RNG, from runs I've done personally whilst timing them. (Tested this on 8 Runs). Any formable with 3 countries or more involved to speedrun it should be fine on the current system: and lower times...well it's not the ideal but it would require a game update, likely to fix.

Simple Version:

JHRacer has extremely low ping. It's almost 100% a real run, just very lucky.

2 Countries or less for formable is broken.

3 Countries or more is fine, and (95%+) accurate on timing.

Yes JHRacers run is completely legit, but god the RNG on that is pretty unmatched, it's pretty insane to see though! Perhaps someone will get better rng sometime soon?

Hope so! I'm just mass-uploading my runs at the moment; but looking at strategies for larger formables at the moment.

It seems as larger formable are less rng dependent then. The only rng thing about large formables is events but they usually don't make a huge difference.

I know this problem with justification time very well. It's ping based. One day is equal to a second, but the laggier the server gets, the more time it takes. The game tries to "compensate" when ping spikes a little by skipping a day or two. In reality its takes three seconds, while the game passes two days, for example. The in-game timer desyncs with ping. It leads to inconsistent justification times!

I might try and run again, I think the RNG was the only reason I got the WR. I had some skill but now that I have a better computer I feel like I could try hard at getting good RNG once again to pull off some timesave

RON speed runs are RNG based and unfair.

Sounds like a you problem dom, I live in Australia

how are they rng based? its all skill for the smaller formables and u don't have to do the speed runs in public servers?
